Blonde Beauty

So, here are the portraits in the new blonde wig:

One of the things that surprised me about this wig is that, for the first time, I have a wig without bangs (or fringe, as the Brits call them). I've always like the way bangs frame my eyes and face, yet this one seems quite attractive as well.

I'm a bangs kinda girl myself ... and yep ... it's a fringe.

I agree though ... looks great with no bangs at all.

I'm always intrigued by the vocabulary differences between Brits and Americans...especially the ones most people don't know about like "bangs/fringe".

Here's one I'd like some info on: Is everything we Yanks call a "sweater" called a "jumper" over there, or only certain styles?

Yeah--we divide sweaters up that way, as well. Wonder how your word "jumper" got applied over here to the combination of skirt and bibbed top that I think you folks call a pinafore.

I can always tell when a movie or TV show allegedly set in Britain was really written by a Yank--it's when they get the easy stuff right (lorry and flat and lift), but miss the less obvious stuff (tin not can, trolley not cart, as examples).
