Gwen's Artful Bondage

You remember Gwen, right? The TV I'm helping to teach how to be more feminine? Well, she saw some of my recent artwork and asked me to work up something from some of her photos. I chose one of her bondage shots:

There might be some more art later in the weekend; and don't forget to vote in the poll (details here)!

Second Helping 24

"Three Days in Femme Clothes, part 7"

The final outfit of the weekend ~ maybe not the sexiest skirt I own, but certainly among the top three or four:

The navy polka-dot blouse is by Basic Editions and the high-waist stretch skirt by Bongo, both from Kmart in June 2012; the shoes are Lela Rose "Galilea" navy/brown peep-toes from Payless in May 2011. Other accessories are polka-dot bow, silver jewelry, black belt, and navy tights.

I was surprised to find this skirt actually fit me, because the Bongo line is aimed at trendy juniors.

One last portrait:

"Three Days in Femme Clothes, part 6"

A bit more purple....

The purple top with the drape collar is by Attention from Kmart in December 2009; the gray knit skirt is by JK America found in a thrift shop in April 2012; the shoes are Dollhouse "Margaretta" black pumps with metal heels from Shoe Dept. in January 2010. Other accessories are print bow, gold jewelry, purple belt, and natural hose.

And a portrait:

Oscar Interlude

So, who impressed you on the Oscars last night? Whose gown would you have wanted to be wearing? For the first time in several years, I was not taken with the clothes worn by any of the ladies "of a certain age" ~ even Meryl Streep seemed frumpy.

Here are my faves:

Charlize Theron:

Tall and regal...and, to me, with that short hair, the epitome of what a gorgeous cross-dressed guy could look like. (And, wow, who knew she could dance?)

Catherine Zeta Jones:

Does she ever look bad? How can she still manage this at her age and after a couple of kids? (And she was even sexier in the Chicago number!)

Anne Hathaway:

What a shame they already did an Audrey Hepburn biopic (with the miscast Jennifer Love Hewitt)...isn't Anne simply the epitome of Audrey here?

Jennifer Lawrence:

She fell on her way to the stage...but to get to wear that gown, I'd risk even that!

Naomi Watts:

It's the combination of the sparkle and the unusual cut of the neckline that draws me to this.

Let me know your favorites.

"Three Days in Femme Clothes, part 6"

One of my oldest outfits, bought in the first several months of my return to dressing:

The two-piece outfit with the flowing sleeves is from Target's Merona line in August 2008; the shoes are Fioni "Kassie" red patent t-strap pumps from Payless in January 2009; other accessories are white bow, pearls, and natural hose.

Everyone seems to love it when I do one of these "blowing kisses" shots.

More purple ~ a lovely lilac satin blouse with a deep violet skirt.

The blouse (by Kathie Lee) and the skirt (Just for Women) were found together at the thrift shop in August 2011; the shoes are Alice & Olivia purple 1920s mary-janes from Payless in March 2009. Other accessories are a rosette headband, silver jewelry and purple tights.

"Three Days in Femme Clothes, part 3"

You'll be seeing lots of purple today, starting with this gray-and-purple tartan skirt, paired with my cowl-neck sweater.

The sweater is by Croft & Barrow, bought at Kohls in October 2008; the skirt is from Target's Merona line, purchased in November 2009; the shoes are Fioni gray fabric pumps from Payless in August 2009. Other accessories are black hat, black-and-white jewelry, and purple tights.

The pictures in this set were all so good (is it the hat that brings this out?) I had real difficulty choosing which ones to post here.

And, of course, hats almost always result in great portraits.

Interlude

'Way back in my 20s, when I started dressing completely (before that, it was just the occasional nylons or panties), I went through a period where every night I wore the following to bed: a waist cincher, nylons, a bra (stuffed), a baby-doll PJ, and high heels (Yes, I wore shoes to bed!). This was part of my fantasy of being forced to dress, my imaginary mistress insisting that my feminine training continue at all hours.

I haven't done this in ages, but I decided to give it whirl this weekend: In these pics, taken this morning, I'm wearing what I wore to bed ~ waist cincher, panties, baby-doll, stuffed bra, pink thigh-highs and heels. I used the cincher instead of my corset, because I wasn't sure how comfortable I would be. Surprisingly, I slept well...the restriction of the cincher and bra (the latter even more so) seemed to add a sense of feminine security.

Tonight, I may try the corset.

Second Helping 18

"Three Days in Femme Clothes, part 2"

Sorry this took so long to get posted. I realized late yesterday afternoon that last night was my one chance to see some theater friends in a production they had directed or were acting in...so I "under-dressed" (cami and panties under shirt and jeans) and spent the evening there. It also means I only got two full outfits in yesterday.

More red turtleneck...this time an actual feminine one, combined with my femme jeans.

The sweater is by Croft & Barrow, purchased at Kohls in February 2009; the jeans are Fashion Bug Right Fit Yellow, from July 2010; the shoes are Fioni "Hilt" red patent pumps, from Payless in November 2009. Other accessories are rosette headband, and gold jewelry.

A question about these jeans ~ are they too much "mom jeans"? I keep wishing they were tighter around my butt and hips. Should I consider getting a pair in a stretch fabric?

I like the makeup this time around a bit more...though I got a compliment on Flickr about the portraits yesterday morning.

More pics on Flickr; lots of dressing today, as well as poll results and maybe some Oscar blogging; and you still have a few hours to vote in that poll ~ please do, voting is very light this week again (details here)!
