June Bug 24

I'd intended to get two outfits in today...but a series of problems (mostly tied to Verizon) led to only one...but it's a killer, isn't it?

As always, I'm not sure where I could ever where this. In my younger days, out "clubbing" perhaps?

The blue belted tunic is from Fashion Bug in February 2011; the shoes are Mossimo "Valonia" blue patent pumps from Target in March 2009. Other accessories are silver jewelry and navy tights.

Is the expression here a little too close to "ecstasy"?

More pics on Flickr; not sure when dressing will resume...hopefully Monday or Tuesday.

June Bug--an adventure

This morning I went browsing in a bunch of stores for clothes ~ browsing only, because cash is short right now. I was just looking at a few places I hadn't checked in a while and one that I've never looked in before.

Why is thia an "adventure"? Because I went in what Stana recently described as mid-femme mode. I wore panties, knee-high hose, and a lacy cami, under the blue blouse I wore yesterday and blakc male jeans, and my black patent kitten heel shoes. I also wore the necklace you can see in the pics from yesterday, and pink lip gloss. The blouse was open enough to see that and a hint of the cami.

I went to the following places, all in the same shopping center: DSW Shoes (nothing there, really ~ even on clearance, their prices remain out of my range for the most part); Marshall's (more in my range, pricewise, but nothing in my style or size); Burlington Coat Factory (some nice skirts in my size and price range, a few cute shoes as well); and Wal-Mart (a total loss ~ the clothing section in this store seems smaller than that in other Wal-Marts).

The big surprise was K&G Fashion! Lots of lovely skirts and dresses, suits for as little as $50, and a good selection of attractive shoes in size 11, at prices ranging from $20 to $40, comparable to Payless...but designer names! When some extra money comes in, this is definitely a place I must return to!

As for the adventure: Well, it was a thrill to hear my heels click on the sidewalk as a I went from store to store and on the tile in the stores. No one seemed to notice me at all ~ with one exception: As I was checking to see if a pair of shoes would fit in Burlington, a guy walked by the end of the aisle. He looked toward me and seemed to stop for a second. Nothing said, no nasty looks, just a realization that I was another guy trying on a pair of high heels, I think.

June Bug 23

Petticoats, lacy socks, big floppy bow...sissy?

The blue blouse is from Lee Rider, bought at Wal-Mart in January 2010; the miniskirt is from Target's Xhileration line in January 2012; the shoes are Fioni "In the Mix" navy felt peep-toe pumps from Payless in February 2011. Other accessories are a scarf tied in a floppy bow, gold jewelry, petticoats, and lacy socks.

I like this portrait, do you?

More pics on Flickr; dressing will resume (barring other events) on Thursday.

June Bug 22

More legs...and something a bit more elegant than yesterday's pink outfit.

The geometric print dress is part of Kmart's Attention line from March 2012; the shoes are Kevin Cole Unlisted "Bond Girl" bone peep-toe pumps from Shoe Dept. in January 2013. Other accessories are yellow bow, silver and chunky jewelry, and natural hose.

A cute portrait:

More pics on Flickr; a very different look (but still lots of leg) later on.

June Bug 21

I told you there would be even more leg this afternoon, didn't I?

The pink heart t-shirt is from Piper Blue, purchased at Kmart in November 2008; the pink stretch miniskirt is by
Seed Supply Co., from Wal-Mart in October 2008; the shoes are Fioni fuchsia pink pumps from Payless in January 2009. Other accessories are pink floral headband (new!), scarf, black-and-white jewelry, and fuchsia belt. Bare legs again.

And a nice portrait:

More pics on Flickr; the leg show continues tomorrow.

June Bug 20

The leg show continues, although this skirt is not quite as short as some of the others you've seen and will see.

The crisp white blouse is by Lee Rider, bought at Kmart in August 2008; the denim skirt is from Target's Merona line in August 2008; the shoes are Predictions "Karmen" blue patent pumps from Payless in June 2013. Other accessories are shiny bow, scarf, red jewelry, and white belt. I'm going bare-legged again in muggy weather.

A note on lighting for this set and the next ~ trying to keep the temperature down in the photo venue, I went with only the flash and daylight from the window. It seems to have created a somewhat softer look.

That softer look applies to the portraits as well:

I haven't done one of these fake ads in quite a while...hope you enjoy this one!

June Bug 19

Okay--with the tiny little skirt and the knee socks, is that a bit too much the teeny-bopper tart?

The shiny tartan top is by Fashion Bug, but found in a thrift shop in April 2012; the red stretch miniskirt is by Seed Supply Co., from Wal-Mart in October 2008; the shoes are Fioni "Hilt" red patent pumps from Payless in November 2009. Other accessories are red fedora, gold jewelry and belt, and knee socks.

Another great portrait in a hat:

More pics on Flickr; I'll post some art over the weekend.

June Bug 18

"I'm a little bit country...." as Marie Osmond used to sing, in this denim minidress.

The minidress is from Roommates, purchased at Foreman Mills in January 2012; the shoes are Lela Rose "Galilea" navy/brown peep-toes from Payless in May 2011. Other accessories are straw cowboy hat, scarf, silver jewelry, and knee socks.

I love doing portraits in hats:

June Bug 17

Told you this outfit was even leggier than this morning's...

The tiny little dress is from Target's Xhiliration line in March 2012; the shoes (among my highest heels) are Christian Siriano "Shanghai" neutral peep-toe pumps from Payless in April 2011. Other accessories are print bow and black-and-white jewelry (bare legs again).

One of my more natural smiles:

June Bug 16

As I teased yesterday, today begins a series of "leg shows." in which I deliberately pulled out my shortest dresses and skirts ~ starting with this short black skirt.

Both parts of this outfit are from Kmart's Attention line: the black stretch t-shirt was bought in March 2009, the black short skirt in January 2011; the shoes are Fioni "Loveit" black patent pumps, from Payless in May 2011. Other accessories are black hat, silver jewelry, black gloves, and patterned tights.

Another terrific hat portrait:
