The black stretch t-shirt is from Kmart's Attention line in March 2009; the black short skirt is from the sale line, but bought in January 2011; the shoes are Dollhouse "Margaretta" black pumps with metal heels, from Shoe Dept. in January 2010. Other accessories are the black rosette headband, pearls, black belt, and natural hose.

The animal print dress is from Fashion Bug in May 2010; the shoes are Dollhouse "Harlot" croc-print pumps, from Shoe Dept. in January 2010. Other accessories are the black hat, belt, crystal jewelry, and natural hose.

The black polka-dot skirt and blouse combination is from Wal-Mart's George line, in January 2010; the shoes are Madden Girl "Karlla" polka-dot pumps, found at DSW in June 2011. Other accessories are polka-dot bow, red jewelry, white belt, and natural hose.

With dressing on hold until Tuesday, I decided to play around with a couple of my recent photographs and try to emulate the Hollywood glamour photography of the studio era. Here are the results:

There will be fewer "gals of November" than intended. The wife is working from home today, so I won't be dressing until probably Tuesday. BTW, that title? It's a play on a phrase from Gordon Lightfoot's "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald":

The all red twofer is by Apt. 9 Woman, found in a thrift store in June 2012; the gray straight skirt is a thrift shop find from an unknown manufacturer, from January 2013; the shoes are Mossimo "Velda" red baby-doll oxford pumps, from Target in August 2008. Other accessories are the red fedora, scarf, silver and chunky jewelry, belt, and natural hose.
