Gwen's Bondage Story

My "trainee," Gwen, did a series of bondage pictures earlier this month and gave me permission to use them to create this story.

And YouThought YOU Had a Shoe Fetish...

Front page of today's Philadelphia Inquirer:

Bryn Mawr poker pro hoards 1,200 pairs of lavish soles

Money quote:

If that's not enough to knock you off your six-inch stilettos, consider that 700 of Shak's shoes are Christian Louboutins. He's the man behind one of her favorite pairs, $4,000-plus rose-gold heels with spiky straps and Swarovski crystals that only she, Victoria Beckham, and 10 other people own.

"Every time I wear them, I have people who try to take them off my feet," she said with an impish smile.

Change in Plans

Well, I thought I would be dressing again today, but then things changed. Younger son is preparing to move out to his own place in about two weeks and he's going to sign the lease, etc., this afternoon and wants me around for moral support...which I am happy to provide.

So, the morning is spent doing what would have been the afternoon and dressing doesn't happen. OTOH, I'm on vacation next week--and while some of that time will be spent on preparing for son's departure--I should have extra time to dress, including trying on the new dress I bought at Kmart this morning.

July Dressing 10

This dress has an interesting history. The first version I bought was too small, so I went back to get a larger size. Then I wasn't entirely happy with the look. Now, however, thanks to the corset and some accessorizing, I'm pleased with the way it works. FTR, it's from Target about two years ago.

Accessories are light blue head band, silver jewelry, chain belt, and neutral peeptoe pumps. Once again, I went with bare legs.

This portrait is not as successful as the one from this morning, but it's not terrible.

More on Flickr; two more outfits tomorrow to finish off the month.

July Dressing 9

Another new acquisition from the thrift shop spree a few weeks ago. This lovely floral crepe skirt was part of the Jaclyn Smith line at Kmart a couple of years back...can't imagine why I didn't buy it then! I paired it with the blue Rider blouse.

I think the blouse brings out the blue in the skirt. Accessories are yellow hair bow, scarf, silver jewelry, and neutral peeptoe pumps. I went barelegged once more in the current heat.

This portrait came out better than I thought it would.

More pics on Flickr; another outfit later today.

July Dressing 8

I love this look...one I've used many times since I first bought this dress more than two years ago. But it represents everything I've always wanted to look like...especially now with the corset improving my figure so much. Here's the brown jersey dress from Kmart.

So, is this for shopping? Lunch with the girls? A matinee at the theater? Accessories are blue hair bow, scarf, tan belt, and brown/blue peep-toe pumps. Once again, I'm bare-legged in the heat.

One other point I should have also noted in my earlier post--following advice from frequent commenter Meg, I have switched from water balloon boobs to ones filled with poly-fill beads. Any thoughts?

I didn't care for the portrait I did with this morning's outfit (so I didn't post it), but this one looks great.

More pics on Flickr; next dressing next week, schedule permitting.

July Dressing 7

Another new item...an olive green straight skirt bought at the thrift store last week. It's wool, so there's a good chance you won't see it again until the fall. The blouse is the white one from Kmart that originally came with its own set of necklaces. Unfortunately, those necklaces have not held up well to wear and tear and all came apart this morning! The blouse is still a nice one, though.

Accessories are white hair bow, gold jewelry, chain belt, and black patent pumps. It's devastatingly hot here, so I went bare-legged again.

More pics on Flickr; another outfit later today.

July Dressing 6

Nothing new here; in fact, I'm sure I've done this exact combination more than once before. It's the blue Rider blouse and the blue floral print skirt from Kmart. It is, however, the first time I've worn them together with the corset.

Accessories are white hair bow, silver jewelry, dark hose and blue patent pumps.

Another portrait:

More pics on Flickr; two more outfits tomorrow...one featuring another new purchase.

July Dressing 5

Here's the first of the new items I picked up at the thrift store last week. It's a black formal top with some sparkly threads and a satin shawl collar. I paired it with the snake-skin skirt from Fashion Bug for a party-like outfit.

Accessories are black head band, pearls, black hose and two-tone black pumps.

Here's a portrait...done with a smoky eye look for a night-time event.

More pics on Flickr. Another outfit later today.

Successful Shopping

This afternoon, I browsed our local thrift shop and came away with three skirts and two tops, all for under $14. I urge all of you who are on a dressing budget to consider these places...you will not only find some great stuff but be supporting organizations that help others. I rarely find attractive dresses in my size, but the range of tops and skirts (at least locally) seems to be very good.

July Dressing 4

Over the years, I've gotten a lot of compliments for this outfit, one of my oldest. But, to my mind, it's never looked better than it does in this set of photos...the first I've taken with it wearing my corset.

Again, no wig and only digital makeup...as well as bare legs. Accessories are hair bow, gold jewelry, and black patent pumps with spike heels.

And one more portrait:

More pics on Flickr; dressing will resume next week.

July Dressing 3

Things are a bit better today weather-wise, so I tried dressing...but again I went wigless and makeup-less. I also decided to be very daring and shaved my legs enough to go bare-legged as well. The result is better than I had any reason to hope. The dress is a green jersey henley-collar shirt dress from Kmart.

I also tried something else that I hadn't attempted in a while; as long as I was doing all the digital makeup, I decided to try a digital "dye-job", as well...hence the hair color. Not sure if it worked.

Accessories are hair bow, silver jewelry, and black patent pumps.

Here's a portrait...I'm trying to smile more. Not quite the broad grin of Monday's portraits, but I think it's more attractive.

More pics on Flickr; another outfit later today.

July Dressing 2

First a note--no dressing today; it is simply too hot and humid to do it well. Tomorrow may be better.

Second outfit yesterday was this very comfortable combo of a tan twofer top and pinstripe slacks.

Accessories are white hair bow, gold jewelry, black belt and black mary-janes.

Another smiling portrait:

Back to Dressing--July 1

After nearly two weeks, I finally got to dress again today...here's a relatively new dress, bought at Kohl's this spring. The temperature and humidity here are sky high, so I went without wig or makeup (except for lipstick). All the other cosmetics are digital.

Accessories are red hair bow, red and white jewelry, light hose, and red t-strap pumps.

And a portrait--see, I can smile!

More pics on Flickr; I hope to get a second session posted later tonight or tomorrow.
