Dani's Photo Album, Part Five

The Training of Gwen: Prologue

This is not fiction. Some months back, a crossdresser named Gwen began an e-mail correspondence with me, complimenting me on the blog--specifically on the stories, the artwork, and on my sense of style as a faux woman. Soon she began sending me some pictures of herself. As you can see from the photos I've chosen to use to illustrate this post, Gwen has a strong fetishistic pull in her dressing. I began to critique her pictures, offering suggestions on clothes that might compliment her more and on ways to make her overall appearance more naturally feminine.

This led to Gwen asking me to work with her as a sort of long-distance dominatrix, to train her to become the sort of woman I think she could be. She even refers to me as "Madame Dani"! I agreed. Gwen is, if anything, even more submissive than I am, and she offered to let me use this training as an on-going series of posts on the blog. Her one caveat was that her face and the backgrounds of the pictures must be altered, to avoid possible identification.

That will mean that the videos we will do to work on her walking and gestures will not be shown here, nor will our makeup sessions. But we will show her new clothing purchases and her sessions to work on posing and sitting and presenting a feminine appearance photographically.

At this point, I've given Gwen a range of choices in clothing and shoes that she will begin to acquire over the next several months. In the meantime, her assignments are to work on walking and posing in the outfits she has now. I hope to present the results of those sessions in the next few weeks. As you can tell from these pictures, Gwen is a little stiff and formal in her posing, and I want to train her to be more natural and more animated in her photographic presentation.

Look for more of "The Training of Gwen" in the near future.

Recapping 2010 So Far, 11

This was my first purchase from Fashion Bug, which is rapidly reaching the same level as Kmart and Target for my wardrobe. You can't see it in these photos, but the dress has a tie-back at the waist. I'm considering eliminating that element of it and just going with a more waist-defining white belt. The blue platform peep-toe pumps were a serendipitous purchase around the same time...and they match the colors of the dress wonderfully.

Accessories are a pale blue headband, gold jewelry, and light hose.

More pics on Flickr. Next dressing and photo session next week at the earliest.

Recapping 2010 So Far, 10

This outfit is, at the moment, the last thing I bought at Burlington Coat Factory. Recent visits have seen the quality of their affordable stuff decline...and the price of the good-quality stuff go up to regular department store prices, IMO. But I love this jacket, so much so that I wear with things other than the skirt that goes with it. It always seems to make my figure go "va-va-voom!" The black lacy camisole was bought specifically to go with this outfit.

Accessories are silver jewelry, dark hose and black patent pumps.

And, because I wanted to show off the lacy camisole a bit more, I worked up this portrait:

Recapping 2010 So Far, 9

The purple drape top and pin-stripe skirt are both from Kmart; they were bought together in January. Accessories are white hair bow, gold jewelry, light hose and purple pumps. I love those shoes, by the way; cute, sexy and very comfortable!

More pics on Flickr; two more outfits tomorrow

Here's my little black dress, from Target. I'd originally intended to wear black hose with this, but I decided to go slightly sexy with fishnets instead. Other accessories are a black head band, gold jewelry, black belt, and black pumps with metal heels.

More pics on Flickr; another outfit later or tomorrow morning.

Recapping 2010 So Far, 7

This is one of my most recent purchases. I ordered the skirt from Fashion Bug on line, then found the perfectly matching top when I picked up the skirt in the store. The shoes were a serendipitous simultaneous order from Payless. The belt is brand-new, purchased earlier this week. Other accessories are the white hair bow, pearls, and light hose. The one thing I dearly wish I had for this skirt (and several others) is a proper length petticoat or crinoline. (I have short ones I wear with my schoolgirl and maid outfits.) I have looked in several places in my area, but nobody--not even the local dance stores--seem to have them. (Mail order is not an option, unless delivery to a local store is possible.)

More pics on Flickr. I hope to squeeze in one more session this week, after work tomorrow.

This pink-and-gray dress with the big buttons is from Target...and I firmly believe this is the best I have looked in this dress since I bought it. For some reason, everything came together in this photo session.

Accessories are pink hair bow, silver jewelry, light hose, and poppy pink pumps.

More pics on Flickr; another outfit later today.

Recapping 2010 So Far, 5

A combination of errands and weather suitable for frying eggs on pavements forces me to do just a single dressing/photo session today. I promise to squeeze in at least two more sessions this week. Today's outfit shows off the black-and-white polka dot blouse from Wal-Mart, paired with a straight black skirt, dressed up with a white hair bow, silver jewelry, red belt, white hose and red fabric peep-toe slingbacks.

High Heels and the Economy

The New York Times ran this as an Op-Ed column last week:

Recapping 2010 so far, 4

Colorful summer print dress (Kmart). I realized I had very little that could really be called a summer-like outfit, so when I saw this I was sold. Accessories are white hair bow, black and white jewelry, light hose, and orange lynx-print mary-janes (also a 2010 purchase).

Additional pics on Flickr; I hope to do one more outfit later this week.

Recapping 2010 so far, 3

Blue Rider blouse (Wal-Mart) and navy blue skirt with scarf belt (Kmart). Both are new this year; the belt was major factor in deciding on the skirt. Accessories are light blue headband, silver jewelry, light hose, and blue patent pumps.
