Torpedo Tits

Those with a knowledge of fetish history will recognize the figures in this cartoon as being adapted from a classic Fredericks of Hollywood catalogue.

Archie's Wedding

A while back, there was a big media to-do about a storyline in the Archie comics, in which Archie married Veronica. Then they did one in which he married Betty. Both were what used to be called "imaginary stories".

But that got to me to thinking...and when I found the image from which this cartoon was worked up, well....

On another topic, there's a good chance I won't get any dressing in this week at all...unless Friday turns out differently than I suspect.

August Dressing 14 and 15

I was unhappy with the first outfit and the pictures I took this morning. I think I had the corset not laced tightly enough and I definitely screwed up my eye makeup...so badly, that I wiped it off and redid for the second round.

Anyway, here's the best of the pics of that first session, with the fitted white blouse and pink plaid skirt.

Accessories were pink bow, silver jewelry, light hose and white sandals. The portrait shows that the eyes simply didn't come out well:

The second session is much better, I'm sure you'll agree. The dress is a black dotted shirt dress from Target.

Accessories are polka-dot bow, red jewelry, light hose and black pumps with a bow.

In the portrait, you can see the eyes look much better:

More pics on Flickr; I may dress again on Friday, depending on schedules.

August Dressing 13

The second outfit today combines a tight fitted blouse from Kmart and a snakeskin-print skirt with a handkerchief hem from Fashion Bug.

Accessories are black head band, black-and-white jewelry, dark hose, and black two-tone pumps.

Another portrait...and a note on makeup--the same eye makeup as earlier today, but I digitally altered the color to blue and used a digital blue eyeliner.

More pics on Flickr. More dressing tomorrow.

August Dressing 12

Two outfits today, starting with this long-time favorite: A red-and-black crepe dress from Kmart's Jaclyn Smith line. Oddly enough, this may be the first time I've worn it with blonde hair.

I think was a really great set of photos this morning. Accessories are red head band, pearls, black belt, dark hose, and black patent pumps with spike heels.

That right-hand shot? The caption obviously is: "Oh dear--is that a run?"

And a really nice portrait--I did my own eyeshadow again today and it came out well, I think.

More pics on Flickr; I'll post the second outfit tonight or maybe tomorrow.

Since I'm not dressing today, I thought it would be the right time to finally post some more cartoon captions. We'll start with some worked up from line art:

August Dressing 11

Here's the second outfit from yesterday. Again, I did my eyeshadow for real, as opposed to the digital cosmetics I usually do. This time, I used a very stark dark gray/white combo.

The clothes are my black camisole under the red satin blouse, with the red-and-black circle pattern skirt.

Accessories are gold jewelry, dark hose, and red patent t-strap pumps.

Here's a portrait. The eyeliner and mascara are digital.

More pics on Flickr; I might dress again on Friday, depending on schedules.

August Dressing 10

OK--this morning I tried using real eyeshadow instead of the digital editing I usually do on my pics. The colors are a brown/neutral palette I've had on hand for a while. The eyeliner and mascara are still digital, however.

The outfit is a stretch t-shirt and polka-dot skirt.

Accessories are polka-dot hair bow, red and white jewelry, dark hose and black patent pumps with spike heels.

This portrait should give a better look at the eyes.

More on Flickr; the second outfit from this afternoon will be posted later today or tomorrow.

August Dressing 9

Well, things have changed a bit in the Dani household. My younger son moved into his own place this weekend, so I have quite a bit more time to myself, which ought to mean more Dani time as the weeks progress. I'm going to experiment with eye makeup again (actually started on that today), and maybe try a partially dressed outside adventure.

Anyway, today I put on this dress that I bought way back in my earliest days of returning to dressing and I find, from these shots, that it still is a really attractive look.

Accessories are scarf, silver jewelry, light hose and blue patent pumps with spike heels.

And here's a pretty nice portrait:

As for that makeup experiment: I did some web exploring and found what I thought would be an easy product to use--Cover Girl's Smoky Shadowblast, which looks like it ought to be a two-ended sort of crayon for coloring your lids. And so it is...but it's incredibly fragile--both ends broke when I tried to use them. Maybe my hand is too heavy for it, but I was terribly disappointed. Tomorrow, I'm pulling out my old set of eyeshadows to see if I can make them work.

More pics on Flickr, as usual.
