The Janus Syndrome 2015-2016

Every year about this time, I post about how well I met my goals for the old year and what my goals for the new year will be. (BTW, Janus is the two-faced Roman god who looked both backward and forward, making him the patron of doorways and of the new year, hence January being named for him.)

Last year's goals:

1. Yes, dress as often as possible, try for at least once a month.

2. Never go more than two days without posting something here.

3. (And this one is the most unlikely) Find an excuse to remove my mustache, so I can do a better (unedited) makeup job when dressing.

I didn't quite make number one, as I went through September without dressing once. OTOH, most other months I dressed more than once.

I'm not sure I never missed more than two days posting, but averaging out the total number of posts for the year, I came very close to posting every day.

No...I still have my mustache.

However, I did begin writing again.

Goals for 2016:

1. Dress at least once a month (again).

2. Post almost every day.

3. Finish a new story as often as possible (every two months?).

4. Start a tumblr page (not sure how it will differ from this blog, but I want to give it a shot).

Happy New Year!

Happy Christmas to All....

[My annual Christmas greeting, first posted in 2007.]

...and to all a Good Night!"...as Clement Clark Moore wrote. (And, yes, he did write "Happy Christmas," not "Merry....")

I'll probably not be blogging very much over the next few weeks, so Happy New Year as well. I thought this was an opportunity to thank everybody who has commented here, who has linked to here, who reads here regularly.

And a chance to talk about how I feel about Christmas. I'm with Charles Dickens, who put these words into the mouth of Scrooge's nephew, Fred: "I have always thought of Christmas time, when it has come round -- apart from the veneration due to its sacred name and origin, if anything belonging to it can be apart from that -- as a good time: a kind, forgiving, charitable, pleasant time: the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely, and to think of people below them as if they really were fellow-passengers to the grave, and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys. And therefore, uncle, though it has never put a scrap of gold or silver in my pocket, I believe that it has done me good, and will do me good; and I say, God bless it!"

There is practically no version of A Christmas Carol that I cannot stand to watch at least once, although I have a favorite--the 1984 TV version starring George C. Scott, which I consider closest to both the spirit and the letter of Dickens' work. I will confess a soft spot for The Muppet Christmas Carol, in part because my kids love it so (despite their being college graduates now).

So I will close this post with the immortal words of Tiny Tim:

God bless us, everyone!

December Dressing 3--Loose and Flowing

I have four sweater dresses; the other three are very clingy and "body-con"--this one is loose and flowing as a contrast.

The rust sweater dress is by Robbie Bee, bought at Ross in November 2014; the shoes are Fioni "Kambridge" orange suede platform pumps from Payless in May 2015. Other accessories are a floral headband, scarf, black-and-white jewelry, and natural hose.

Two more nice portraits:

December Dressing 2--Black and White

An interesting thing--when I planned out the current run of outfits, I included all my sweaters and sweater dresses, figuring we were moving into the cold months...so instead we've had one of the warmest falls on record.

The black pin-stripe twofer is by Worthington, found in a thrift shop in January 2012; the black short skirt is from Kmart's Attention line in January 2011; the footwear are Jaclyn Smith "Tisdale" boots, also from Kmart in November 2014. Other accessories are a shiny bow, silver jewelry, silver belt, and natural hose.

I like the portraits from these sessions a lot:

One more outfits to come; the extra another chance to dress did not materializw; and please respond to the survey at the right (details here)!

December Dressing 1--Stripes and Petticoats

Not just the first dressing of December, but the first for Dani's ninth year.

The red-on-red twofer is by Apt. 9 Woman, found in a thrift store in June 2012; the red-and-white striped skirt is by Chances R, bought at Forman Mills in July 2015; the shoes are Karen Ornament white peeptoe pumps from Payless in March 2015. Other accessories are gold jewelry, white petticoats, and natural hose. I wasn't at all sure the pettis would work with the skirt, but they look great, don't they?

"No, I don't believe a sissy
can ever show too much
petticoat...."

"Oh my! Was that
the doorbell?"

Two more outfits from today's session to come; another chance to dress tomorrow (maybe); and please respond to the survey at the right (details here)!

ROBOT BIMBO

"Look at this," said Dr. Madchenmacher as she tossed the paper on Madame Fabricantfille's desk. "Mr. Stahl's account is in arrears, again."

"Third time this year," Madame Fab noted, scanning the page. "I'd have thought he learned his lesson after spending a week as a mannequin in Ambrose's Department Store!"

"And being fucked by Mr. Ambrose every night!" the doctor added, laughing.

"So how do we have him work it off this time...and make sure it doesn't happen again?" her partner asked.

"Well...remember we've been working on something to satisfy all the robot-fetishists who contact us?" Dr. Mad began. "I've finally perfected the metallic version of the plasticization process."

"Make him a femme-bot?" Madame Fab asked.

"Permanently...," the doctor confirmed. "Rather than lose money with this joker, let's make some."

Two weeks later, Mr. Stahl arrived for his monthly appointment. "Come right in," Madame Fab greeted him, smiling broadly. "We have something new arranged for you."

"You know I'm always up for the new and different," Stahl replied, enthusiastically. "Lead the way."

A short while later, he was seated in a version of a salon's styling chair. Straps bound his arms, legs, and head to the seat. "Are these necessary?" he asked, nervously.

"Oh, yes," Madame Fab answered. "Preliminary tests indicate that the process works much better with the vict...er, the subject...immobilized." She lowered a helmet--looking much like a salon dryer--over his head, stepped back and flipped a switch. The helmet began to glow and hum...and Stahl soon drifted off into a trance-like state.

Doctor Mad entered and looked him over. "So this will prepare his mind for the body changes?" she asked.

"Yes," her partner said. "In about an hour, he will believe he is a mechanical device, programmed to perform only those duties his human controllers command."

One hour later, the man rose robotically from the chair when the helmet was removed. "Robo-unit One, are you ready for the next stage of your programming?" the doctor asked.

"Ready," he replied in a monotone.

"Follow me...."

Six hours later, the process was complete. Covered in a metallic sheen, Stahl's body had been reshaped to feminine proportions. His hair had been removed and replaced with a gleaming mass of wire. He was clad in a shiny tunic that only emphasized the glint of light on his body's curves.

"Robo-Unit One, do you understand your function?" the doctor asked.

Yes, I am a mechanical bimbo. I exist to have sex in all ways with those who control me.

"Love the voice," Madame Fab whispered.

"Yes, it's a new version of the larynx we use for the dolls. Isn't the staccato rhythm just delightful?" Doctor Mad told her. "You called our client who was looking for a robot companion?"

"Yes," Madame Fab said. "Our Robo-Bimbo is booked for a month of service with Ms. Demanden. And I've already had inquiries from a dozen other mechano-fetishists. Unit One is going to be very busy!"

Eight is Great

Today marks the end of my eighth year since being able to dress again, the date I have chosen as Dani's "birthday". As usual, I have a slideshow of what I think are the best photos from the past 12 months.

Surprisingly, I was able to get into 75 outfits over that time, with at least one dressing session every month, except for September. Next year may be even more active; the wife is changing jobs and will be traveling more often. If those trips fall on the right dates, well....

Dolls 'R' Us--Part Two

THE AD

Are you obsessed with dolls? Do you think sex with a doll would be amazing? Do you think being a doll is sexy? We can help.

TALKING TAMMY

"I've loved dolls all my life," Tom told Dr. Madchenmacher. "Even as a little boy--my sister had this talking doll who was so pretty...I wanted to be just like that doll. I still do."

"You want to be a doll?" asked Madame Fabricantfille. "A female doll?"

"Oh, yes!" Tom exclaimed. "But one that can talk and walk and move on its own."

"And think for itself?" the madame asked.

"Oh no," Tom insisted. "Dolls never think for themselves...dolls are empty-headed things, meant only to be pretty and be loved by their owners."

The doctor looked to her partner and smiled. "I think we can help you."

Shortly later, Tom was sitting in a chair in the center of an otherwise empty room. "This is our mental transformation chamber," Madame Fab's voice came from the walls. "Here we will make you into an empty-minded vessel for your dolly persona. You are certain you want this?"

"Oh, yes!" Tom cried. With that, the walls began to glow and the sound from the speakers turned into a low drone. But behind that glow and under that drone, messages reached deep into Tom's mind...messages that called on him to forget who and what he was, to become empty and blank and willing to accept whatever he was told. After six hours of treatment, he sat staring blindly, no longer truly human in his psyche.

Now Dr. Madchenmacher and her team went into action. They rolled Tom into the operating suite, where they performed a series of procedures...giving him a lovely feminine form, but preserving his male equipment. They remade his face, enlarging his eyes and inserting lenses with wide staring pupils in china blue. They altered his larynx, giving him the high-pitched tinny sound of a talking doll. The final step was the application of the doctor's secret plasticizing coating...his skin would breathe through it, but it would appear to be the smooth, shiny plastic of a new doll. They even molded false joints that would look like those of a poseable figure.

Tom was moved into a costuming room, where the technicians chose a little girl's Alice-in-Wonderland look for him, complete with a big stuffed white rabbit. They walked him back to the madame and the doctor.

"Now, who are you?" the doctor asked.

I don't know he replied in his new doll's voice.

"You are Talking Tammy, a pretty little dolly," Madame Fab explained. "Now, what is your name?"

I am Talking Tammy he repeated.

"Very good. What do you do?"

I don't know he replied again.

"You will do whatever your owner asks," the madame said. "Now, tell us again who you are and what you do."

I am Talking Tammy and I will do whatever my owner asks....

"She's ready," Madame Fab decided. "Put her on the schedule to satisfy the fetishists who want to have sex with a doll!"
