More school-teacherish clothes, although this may be the last time I wear this particular blouse. It really is too tight and shows all the bulges in the wrong places ~ and I have several other white blouses.
The purple/gray tartan skirt is from Target's Merona line, a November 2009 purchase; the blouse is part of Kmart's Attention line, from February 2011; and the shoes are Fioni gray fabric pumps, bought at Payless in August 2009. Other accessories are a shiny bow, gold jewelry, a gold belt, and dark hose.
Another nice blonde portrait:

When I first bought this gown, it was merely a whim. I had no idea it would become one of my favorite things to wear.
The gown was bought at Fashion Bug in June 2011; the Fioni "LaMode" light blue peeptoe pumps are from Payless in April 2010. Other accessories are pale blue rosette headband, blue and silver jewelry, silver belt, and dark hose.
Why do the blonde portraits always look so good, when I never really think of myself as a blonde?
More pics on Flickr; a very different look later today; and don't forget to vote in the new poll (details here)!

No-No November 12
An office-school teacher look, I think...don't you? I wore the glasses because of some nice compliments on my last appearance with them over on Flickr; I may do at least one session each dressing day with them through the end of the year.
The olive green wool skirt is by a company called Breckinridge II and was found in a thrift shop in July 2011; the green linen blouse from Kmart's Jaclyn Smith line was purchased this past September; and the Merona "Marla" boots from Target are a September 2008 purchase. Other accessories are a yellow bow, the aforementioned glasses, and red jewelry.
I like this portrait a lot:

I'm back...for real, this time, with the blue velvet dress. I chose it so I could put together an outfit to go with those new pewter shoes, by adorning this with as much silver as I could manage.
The dress is from Kmart's Basic Editions line, but I found it in a thrift shop in November 2011; the shoes, as noted a few weeks ago, are Moda Spana pewter spike heel pumps, a thrift shop find earlier this month. Other accessories are a silver bow, lots of silver jewelry, silver belt, and natural hose.
The best portrait from this set:

The Best Laid Plans...
...of mice and men aft gang agley.
The weather around here is predicted to be somewhat sloppy (a mix of rain and snow), so the wife decided to work from home. That means no Dani time today. But I have a very late start at work tomorrow, so I may try to get one outfit in in the morning.
In the meantime, don't forget to vote in the new poll (details here)!
UPDATE: No dressing tomorrow (Wednesday) ~ work has called me in early. See you all (in a dress!) on Thursday!

A Mini-Adventure
With the house to myself today, but only after ten o'clock, I decided there wasn't enough time for a full dressing and photo session...so I set out on a "mini-adventure." I put on my lacy pink panties and camisole under my male t-shirt and my femme jeans. Shoes were the brown boots with pointed toes and kitten heels. As an added fillip, I put on some pale pink lipstick.
So attired, I first went to get a haircut. It felt extremely sexy to know I was dressed (at least underneath) in girly clothes as a very attractive stylist cut my hair. Then came a trip to the Post Office and a pizza place for lunch.
The most interesting thing was that nobody noticed the lipstick (or at least didn't comment on it). Perhaps next time I'll get a little more daring and include some lip gloss.
As previously noted, dressing resumes tomorrow; in the meantime, don't forget to vote in the new poll (details here)!

I'm Back....
...and with a new poll!
Things are settling back to normal here at Chez Dani after the Thanksgiving holiday! One son has already returned for his home and the other leaves tomorrow morning. I was originally going to wait until tomorrow to post this, but I have time this evening, so here goes.
Here's how this will work ~ I will post two portrait shots each week, and ask you to rate each one on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best. After I've been through all the ones I've picked out for this (they're all from the last four months or so), we'll do another round of just the highest scoring pictures, in order to come up with one I'll use as my new image here and on Flickr.
Here are this week's pics:
Rate them in the polls to the right.
I'll return to dressing on Tuesday, after using Monday to get caught up on a few things. And the first week of December will be Dani's fifth birthday!

Last sweater is this tan twofer top with a below-the-knee tan skirt.
The top is by White Stag (a Wal-Mart line?), found in a thrift shop in March 2011; the skirt is also from a thrift shop and is by Alfred Dunner, purchased in October 2011; the shoes are Lela Rose Unforgettable Moments "Nathalie" white pumps from Payless in April 2010. Other accessories are print bow, glasses, black-and-white jewelry, white belt, and natural hose.
And again, two really nice portraits:
More pics on Flickr; Friday's dressing will include two new skirts; and you still have a few hours to vote in the poll (details here)!
