One of the sexual icons of my youth, Anne Francis, died on Sunday; she was 80. But to me she will always be the 25-year-old beauty of Forbidden Planet or the 35-year-old leather-clad Honey West. If you've never seen Forbidden Planet (because you're too young or because you were never a science-fiction fan), I urge you to seek it out. This is classic, intelligent SF, based on Shakespeare's The Tempest.
If you prefer, look for the Twilight Zone episodes Ms. Francis appeared in. Or her many guest appearances on TV series later in her career...she remained glamorous and appealing well into her 60s.
