Happy New Year 18

We close out January with this fun and flirty combo of a man-tailored blouse and miniskirt.

The blouse is part of the Lee Rider line, purchased at Wal-Mart in January 2010; the miniskirt is from Target's Xhileration line from January 2012; the shoes are Mossimo "Valonia" blue patent pumps, also from Target in March 2009. Other accessories are a blue bow, red jewelry, scarf and black hose.

The second outfit today (and penultimate one for the month) is this twofer and pencil skirt combination.

The top is by Worthington (a JCPenney line, I believe) and I found it in a thrift shop in January 2012; the skirt is by a company called Dots and I bought from a thrift shop as well in February 2011; the shoes are one of my oldest pairs, Predictions black pumps with a little bow from Payless in February 2008. Other accessories are a shiny bow, gold jewelry, black belt, and black hose.

Happy New Year 16

Today is my last day of dressing for January, and it begins with my fave blue cowl-neck sweater dress:

The dress is part of Target's Mossimo line, from January 2010; the shoes are Fioni "In the Mix" navy felt peep-toe pumps from Payless in February 2011; other accessories are a blue bow, chunky and silver jewelry, and black hose.

I think the best description of that pose on the bottom is "wistful". And here's a nice smiling portrait ~ you'll note I did my eyes in a dark blue eyeliner/mascara motif (both digital, I'm afraid).

Archie Me

A few months back, I did a drawing of myself in manga style; recently, I realized there was the possibility of presenting myself as an Archie character. The photo on the left is from one of my earliest dressing sessions, back in my 20s, and was used as the base for the drawing.

The layered top is by RQT, bought at Burlington Coat Factory in January 2009; the white pinstripe skirt is from Kmart's Attention line, acquired in January 2010; the black mary-janes are Isaac Mizrahi from Target in November 2007. Other accessories are a white bow, glasses, scarf, red jewelry, and natural hose.

Today's the only day I can dress this week...and I'm starting with this lovely, if casual, look:

The green long-sleeve t-shirt with the cowl neck is from the Merona line at Target, purchased in January 2012; the blue-green floral print skirt is from Wal-Mart's George line, found in a thrift shop that same month; the shoes are Xhilaration "Sommer" green patent sandals from Target in June 2012. Other accessories are yellow bow, scarf, gold jewelry, and natural hose.

Final outfit for this week is this terrific looking zebra-print shirt dress.

The dress is from Target's Merino line in January 2010; the shoes are Dollhouse "Margaretta" black pumps with metal heels, bought at Shoe Dept. in January 2010; other accessories are black cloche hat, scarf, red jewelry, and fishnet hose.

OK, I goomfed this morning. I thought I hadn't worn this skirt and blouse combo already... but I did, back on January 4. Oh well....at least the accessories are slightly different this time, and I did a few different poses and angles.

Once again, the pink striped blouse is part of the Lee Rider line, purchased at Wal-Mart in January 2010; the black short skirt is from Kmart's Attention line, bought in January 2011; and the shoes are Fioni fuchsia pink pumps from Payless in January 2009. Other accessories are pink bow, black-and-white jewelry, and burgundy tights.
