OK...ever since I got the corset and the strapless bra I've been wanting to test them out with the maid's uniform.
The corset definitely makes the uniform work better (I had less trouble squeezing into it, too) and the strapless bra means there's less editing out of straps, etc. (I still added the cleavage in the curtsy pose, though.) Other accessories are hair bow, silver jewelry, fishnet hose, and new black patent pumps (more on those below).
This is my third pair of black patent pumps, but these are the first with real spike heels:
Here's the description from Payless:
This chic staple features a classic round toe and an abbreviated modern 2" vamp, a lightly padded insole, a hidden platform and a 3.75" wrapped stiletto heel. Manmade materials.
For the second outfit today, I went back to an old favorite--a brown jersey shirtdress from Kmart. I love what the corset does for this...it looks completely natural, feminine and classic.
Accessories here are blue bow, pearls, scarf, dark hose and new shoes (more on those below).
Here's a closer look at the new shoes--aren't they just gorgeous?
Payless describes them thusly:
This super feminine textural pump by designer Lela Rose is the perfect way to step up your work or weekend look. It features a classic tweed upper with faux leather trim and pretty grosgrain bow detail on the vamp, a lightly padded insole, and a 4" faux wood stiletto heel with an overlasted platform. Fabric and manmade materials.
More pics of both outfits on Flickr; next dressing sessions next week.
