Just a note about this cover: The original art is by Nick Cardy, a man who had a remarkable career in comics, almost all for DC Comics. He made his mark in the 1960s as the artist on Aquaman and later Teen Titans. In the 1970s, under editorial director and later publisher Carmine Infantino, he began doing practically all of DC's covers, from the superhero line right through the romance titles, as here. Perhaps his seminal work was the comedy western Bat Lash, created along with Sergio Aragones.
