February goes on with a cute "mini-dotted" dress.
The dress is part of Target's Merona line from January 2010; the shoes are Fioni "Havre" two-tone black pumps from Payless in February 2011. Other accessories are shiny bow, pearls, and black hose.
I'm never sure if this curly red wig looks as good as I think it does:

Second Helping 2
February continues with this skirt and blouse combination, perhaps a touch matronly ~ especially after this morning's youthful attire?
The white blouse with gold buttons is by Notations Woman, found in a thrift shop in January 2012; the blue wool plaid skirt is another thrift shop find, from the same time, made by Kayo of California; the brown boots are Merona "Marla" style from Target in September 2008. Other accessories include the blue cloche, gold jewelry, gold belt, and natural hose.
Two more very nice portraits:

Second Helping 1
Our second monthly helping for 2013 starts with a very un-winterish outfit, this t-shirt dress.
The t-shirt dress comes from Target's Converse One-Star line, bought in January 2009; the shoes are Mossimo "Velda" red baby-doll oxford pumps, also from Target in August 2008. Other accessories are red fedora, red jewelry, red belt, and natural hose.
Portraits in hats always seem to look great, as these two demonstrate:

Dani Joins Archie?
After getting a nice response to my self-portrait as an Archie girl, including some requests from Flickr friends for me to do the same for them (which you can see here), I thought I'd try doing a full-body version of Dani as an Archie character.
The first step in the process was manipulating a photo so it would have an Betty/Veronica type figure--emphasizing the waist, lengthening the legs--and then using that as a base for the drawing. I think it turned out well...your thoughts?
More art this weekend, possibly; dressing resumes next week; and don't forget to vote in the poll (details here)!
