More red and black and more slacks...

The red v-neck top is one of my earliest buys, part of Wal-Mart's George line from December 2007; the black pinstripe pants are by Larry Levine Woman, purchased at Burlington Coat Factory in March 2008; the shoes are Bongo "Ferona" red plaid peep-toe mary-janes from Kmart in August 2010. Other accessories are red rosette headband, and gold jewelry.

Is this a glamour shot?

I was very surprised to discover that I hadn't done the "maid thing" since I wore it for the wardrobe catalog project way back in May of 2012...and that ~ save for one session without a wig at all ~ I've never done a short-haired maid before.

The maid's uniform is by Rubies and I bought it at Halloween Adventures in April 2008; the shoes are Fioni "Loveit" black patent pumps from Payless in May 2011. Other accessories are the chain necklace, silver jewelry, and fishnet hose.

Well, it looks like Dani is happy to be a maid:

Showers of Femininity 4

What is it about a spike-heeled shoe peeking out from under the leg of trouser that is so sexy?

The navy polka-dot blouse is from Kmart's Basic Editions line in June 2012; the black slacks with belt & cuffs are from Larry Levine Woman, a Burlington Coat Factory purchase in March 2008; the shoes are Dollhouse "Margaretta" black pumps with metal heels, from Shoe Dept. in January 2010. Other accessories are polka-dot bow and red jewelry.

A slightly different kind of portrait than usual, showing a bit more of my body:

Pink, pink, pink...and new shoes!

How about that ass, huh? The pink heart t-shirt is by Piper Blue, purchased at Kmart in November 2008; the pink stretch miniskirt is by Seed Supply Co., bought at Wal-Mart in October 2008; info on the shoes below. Other accessories are a shiny bow, scarf, black-and-white jewelry, and new pink mesh tights.

Here's the 411 on the shoes:

Manufacturer/line/store: Fioni "Kit" floral print peep-toe pumps (Payless)
Date: March 2013

Showers of Femininity 2

Perhaps my most common color combination, red and black:

The red paisley blouse is one of my earliest purchases, from Jeanna Plus at Burlington Coat Factory in March 2008; the black swing skirt is by JBS Ltd. from Fashion Bug in March 2011; the shoes are Mossimo "Velda" red baby-doll oxford pumps from Target in August 2008. Other accessories are red bow, pearls, and natural hose.

I think this is one of my best portraits so far this year:

Showers of Femininity 1

I had planned today somewhat differently than it is turning out. I bought a new outfit on clearance at JCPenney last week...today was supposed to be the first day to wear it. But it's too small...perhaps with JCP's stuff I'll have to plan on going to a larger size.

So, instead, we're starting with this spring-like look:

The tan twofer top is by White Stag (a Wal-Mart line but found in a thrift shop) from March 2011; the floral skirt is another thrift shop find by Requirements, also from March 2011; the shoes are Chadwick neutral open-toe pumps, found in a thrift shop in January 2013. Other accessories are white bow, blue jewelry, and natural hose.

A smiling portrait:
