[This
story is written in epistolary manner; that is, it consists of a series of
letters and/or emails the various characters have written to each other.]
Dear Adam:
Just a quick note to see how you’re doing. I worry about my
boy living in the big city and in a way that seems so different, so odd. Are
you sure you’re in a safe place? Do you have friends?
Your loving Mother.
Dear Mom:
I’m fine and very happy with my new life! I told you when I moved out it was time for me to be the person I have always wanted to be—a boy who dresses, acts and lives like a girl! I have a very safe place to stay, filled with boys like me. It’s called the YTCA—the Young Trsnny Counseling Association. They have a building on the East Side of Manhattan, not far from Grand Central Terminal, with apartments and lots of amenities, like a laundry, a gym and a pool.
Their
employment service even found me a job! I work for Demanden Enterprises, where
all the executives are beautiful women, and the clerical staff are all pretty
femboys, like me! I go out on weekends with my neighbors and some of my
co-workers. There are so many places here that welcome sissies and pansies that
we never lack for entertainment and companionship. Some of the clubs have
clientele that includes women like my superiors at Demanden, who prefer their
romantic partners to be submissive crossdressers. I have to admit that is the
kind of relationship I want to have.
Gotta go, now, Mom…my neighbor, Trixie, is here and we’re going to see the stage musical of Some Like It Hot (you remember watching the movie with me when I was 12, right?).
I’ll sign
off with my new name—please use it in the future.
Love, Eve
Dear Eve:
First off, I’ll try to remember about the name—don’t be
surprised if I slip in actual conversation.
I’m glad to hear things are going so well. I’d love to see a
little of what you look like these days. If I have a pretty “daughter,” I want
to help her be that way. That brings up a niggling question—I know you dress
and act like a girl now, but do you identify as female? Do you introduce
yourself as a boy or a girl? Do you use feminine pronouns?
I realize that’s a lot of questions, but I’m struggling to
understand your new life and how, I, as your parent, fit into it.
Your loving Mother
Dear Mom:
Sorry, I should have included a photo in that last message!
As you can
see, my daily attire is quite “normal”—I believe I fit in anywhere as an
“office girl”. I do not identify as either male or female, though I use
feminine pronouns to avoid confusion. Like most of my compatriots at YTCA, I
call myself a “sissy,” defined as a male who prefers to appear female. Some of
the YTCA members go a bit further in their styles—we have a few drag queens among us (you know
what those are, right?) and even a couple who dress as little girls, in lots of
frills and petticoats. Any style of feminine dress is accepted among us.
For
example, most of us wear cute one-piece swimsuits in the pool, but a few prefer
to go with bikinis (they usually have gone through some form of breast
enhancement). I’m actually thinking of getting a two-piece myself for the
summer, so I can sunbathe and acquire a nice “girly” tan.
Almost
bedtime, have to get into my babydolls.
Love, Eve
